Stage 4 of the Redlands cycling race was the highly anticipated crit day, following a grueling 50k climb to Big Bear the day before. Our team had been leading the race, but with 10 laps to go, the race was neutralized, giving the other teams a chance to catch up. Despite our best efforts to regain control, the fatigue from the previous day’s climb proved too much. Personally, I was not at my peak performance due to falling ill the week prior, so I was proud to have made it this far in the competition.
