Amy Cycling Adventures

Amy woke up bright and early at 3:45 am, filled with excitement for her first trip to Lisbon, Portugal. Accompanied by her companion Ruby, an indoor cycling trainer, she was ready to embark on a new adventure. The main purpose of their trip was to witness the start of the Welter, a prestigious cycling event. It was indeed a pinch-me moment for Amy when she received the invitation, and she couldn’t contain her excitement.

Heading to the airport with her beloved bike, Penny, in tow, Amy was buzzing with anticipation. She couldn’t wait to explore Lisbon, soak in the sights and sounds of the city, and, of course, witness the grand team presentation of the Welter. Even though Amy’s partner Kyle couldn’t join her on this trip due to work commitments and taking care of their dog, he wholeheartedly encouraged her to go and have a great time.

Upon landing in Lisbon, Amy was greeted by Dan, who was her companion for this trip. They were shown to a secure area to store their bikes and get them ready for their cycling adventure. While Dan struggled to assemble his bike, Amy had the advantage of using a bike sent to her by Evok, which required minimal setup. Amy was ready to hit the road while Dan was still figuring out the intricacies of his bike. Nevertheless, they were both eager to explore Lisbon and make the most of their time in the city.

Their first day of cycling turned out to be quite an adventure. They set out on a 40-kilometre ride to a castle recommended by a friend. However, navigating the city proved to be a challenge, with numerous u-turns and unexpected obstacles along the way. Despite the setbacks, Amy and Dan managed to find their way to a picturesque café, where they enjoyed some much-needed refreshments and rested before heading back to their hotel.

The scorching heat and challenging terrain made the ride a test of endurance, but Amy and Dan persevered and made the most of their cycling experience. The beautiful surroundings and the thrill of exploring a new city kept them going, even when the going got tough. They may not have covered a long distance, but the memories they created along the way were priceless.

After a refreshing break at their hotel, Amy and Dan geared up for the team presentation of the Welter. It was an exciting opportunity for Amy to meet the people behind Ruby and experience the grandeur of a professional cycling event up close. Dressed in red to match the Welter’s theme, Amy was ready to immerse herself in the world of competitive cycling and show her support for the riders.

The team presentation was a lively affair, with riders showcasing their team kits and gearing up for the race ahead. From familiar faces to new names, Amy soaked in the atmosphere and cheered on the cyclists as they strutted their stuff on the red carpet. The energy was contagious, and Amy couldn’t help but feel a sense of camaraderie with the cycling community.

After the presentation, Amy and Dan enjoyed a leisurely dinner and reflected on their day of cycling and exploration. The goodie bag they received was a delightful surprise, with souvenirs to remind them of their time in Lisbon. As they headed back to their hotel, tired but content, Amy felt grateful for the experience and the opportunity to be part of such a thrilling adventure.

As they settled in for the night, Amy reflected on the day’s events and looked forward to the next two days of their trip. It was a whirlwind of excitement, challenges, and unforgettable moments, and Amy couldn’t wait to see what else Lisbon had in store for her. With a heart full of gratitude and a mind buzzing with memories, Amy drifted off to sleep, ready to take on whatever new adventures awaited her in the morning.
