First Timer at Paris-Brest-Paris 2023
In 2019, my hopes of qualifying for a long-distance cycling event were dashed by illness and mechanical issues. It took three seasons of failed attempts before I finally earned a spot at the prestigious Paris-Brest-Paris event. However, my success came at a cost, as I was dealing with an ITB injury and a painful tennis elbow. Despite these setbacks, I approached the event with no expectations and just hoped to enjoy the experience. This video captures my journey as a first-timer at PBP, complete with music by Teho, Max Cooper, and Oceansize, as well as route animation by relive.cc and a special thanks to Richard Lake for use of a clip.
